Terms of Service

The rules for using KillSwitch and its subscription management tools.

Effective June 7, 2026. These terms explain how users may access KillSwitch, what the service does, what it does not do, and the responsibilities that come with connecting subscription, banking, and Gmail data.

Agreement Overview

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of KillSwitch, including the KillSwitch website, dashboard, account tools, subscription detection features, notification features, billing features, connected-data flows, and any related services that link to these terms.

In these terms, "KillSwitch," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the KillSwitch service. "User," "you," and "your" refer to anyone who visits, creates an account, connects data, pays for access, or otherwise uses KillSwitch.

Accepting These Terms

By visiting KillSwitch, creating an account, signing in with Google, connecting a bank account, connecting Gmail, starting a paid plan, or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms.

You may use KillSwitch only if you are old enough and legally able to form a binding agreement. If you use KillSwitch for another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.

Privacy And User Data

KillSwitch handles personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what data may be collected, why it is used, how connected bank and Gmail data work, and what choices users have.

By using KillSwitch, you acknowledge that subscription detection depends on data you provide, data you connect, and data made available by third-party providers.

What KillSwitch Does

KillSwitch is a subscription management app. It is designed to help users identify recurring subscriptions, monitor billing activity, detect price changes, find renewal dates, track failed payments or refunds, and notice cancellation follow-up charges.

KillSwitch may use banking transaction signals, card transaction signals, Gmail subscription-related signals, user-provided information, and automated pattern detection to organize subscription information inside the dashboard.

  • Subscription detection may not catch every subscription.
  • Merchant names, billing dates, and amounts may be incomplete or delayed.
  • Cancellation status may depend on emails, transactions, merchant behavior, and connected-data freshness.
  • Users should verify important subscription, cancellation, and billing decisions directly with the merchant when needed.

Connected Accounts

You may choose to connect outside accounts, such as bank accounts, cards, or Gmail, to improve subscription detection. You represent that you own or are authorized to connect any account you link to KillSwitch.

Connected services are provided by third parties. KillSwitch is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, security, or terms of those third-party services. If a connected service is unavailable, delayed, limited, or disconnected, parts of KillSwitch may not work as expected.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and protecting your login method, password, device, and email account. You must notify KillSwitch if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

KillSwitch may refuse, suspend, or close an account if information appears inaccurate, the account creates risk, the service is misused, payment fails, or continued access would violate these terms or applicable law.

Permitted Use

KillSwitch is for lawful personal subscription tracking and account management. Your access is personal to you and may not be sold, transferred, abused, scraped, reverse engineered, or used to harm the service or other users.

  • Do not connect accounts you are not allowed to access.
  • Do not use KillSwitch to monitor another person without permission.
  • Do not submit false, misleading, harmful, or unlawful information.
  • Do not interfere with security, rate limits, authentication, APIs, or infrastructure.
  • Do not use KillSwitch to build a competing product by copying its interface, workflows, data structure, or output.

Not Financial Advice

KillSwitch does not provide legal, tax, investment, banking, credit, insurance, or professional financial advice. Subscription insights, spending summaries, cancellation clues, and alerts are informational tools only.

You are responsible for reviewing the information shown in KillSwitch and making your own decisions. Before making important financial or legal decisions, consider checking directly with the merchant or a qualified professional.

Alerts And Detection

KillSwitch may send in-app alerts about renewals, price changes, failed payments, refunds, subscription activity, cancellation follow-ups, and connected-account issues. Alerts may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or unavailable.

You should not rely on KillSwitch as the only reminder for payments, cancellations, trials, renewals, disputes, or deadlines. Merchants, banks, email providers, and payment processors may change information after KillSwitch receives it.

Billing And Paid Access

Paid access to KillSwitch is billed as shown on the pricing page or checkout page. Paddle is the merchant of record for paid checkout, tax calculation, receipts, invoices, payment methods, subscription billing, refunds, and chargebacks.

If payment fails, is reversed, is disputed, or cannot be verified, KillSwitch may limit, pause, or end paid access. Pricing, plan features, billing periods, promotions, and Paddle checkout details may change over time.

Refund requests are reviewed under the Refund Policy.

Third-Party Services

KillSwitch may include integrations, links, data providers, OAuth flows, payment processors, bank connectivity providers, hosting providers, email services, notification services, and other third-party tools.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. KillSwitch does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their products, availability, policies, fees, changes, or errors.

Automated Features

KillSwitch may use automated systems, pattern detection, artificial intelligence, or machine learning to identify subscriptions, classify merchants, summarize activity, detect alerts, or improve the dashboard.

Automated outputs may be wrong, incomplete, delayed, or not suited to your situation. You are responsible for reviewing important outputs before acting on them.

Ownership And License

KillSwitch, including its design, interface, software, workflows, text, branding, graphics, code, and product experience, is owned by KillSwitch or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Subject to these terms, KillSwitch grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for your own lawful subscription management.

Access Restrictions

You may not copy, modify, scrape, crawl, resell, overload, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malware, or use KillSwitch in a way that damages the service, violates law, or infringes another person's rights.

Disclaimers

KillSwitch is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, KillSwitch disclaims warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.

KillSwitch does not guarantee that every subscription will be detected, every alert will arrive, every cancellation will be confirmed, or every connected-data source will remain available.

Limits On Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KillSwitch will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, lost data, missed cancellations, merchant charges, payment disputes, or third-party service failures.

Where liability cannot be excluded, KillSwitch's total liability will be limited to the amount you paid to KillSwitch for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or the minimum amount permitted by law, whichever is greater.

Your Responsibility

You agree to be responsible for claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of KillSwitch, violation of these terms, violation of law, unauthorized account connections, or infringement of another person's rights.

Ending Use Of KillSwitch

You may stop using KillSwitch at any time. You may also request account or data assistance by contacting support. Some records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

KillSwitch may suspend or terminate access if an account violates these terms, creates security or legal risk, remains unpaid, abuses the service, or if KillSwitch discontinues part of the service.

Changes To The Service

KillSwitch may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves. KillSwitch may also update these terms. If a change is material, KillSwitch should provide notice in a reasonable way, such as updating this page, notifying users in the app, or sending an account email.

Disputes

If a dispute arises, contact support@killswitch.world first so we can try to resolve it directly. These terms do not prevent either side from seeking relief in a court or forum where applicable law gives that right.

Any dispute process, governing law, venue, arbitration, or class-action waiver may depend on the user's location, the payment provider's rules, and applicable law. KillSwitch may update this section as the company structure and launch jurisdictions become final.
